International Standard Management Certification

In order to ensure the highest quality products, HSD has received ISO 14001:2004 (Environment Management System) and ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System) certifications. We have also developed a set of strict product quality inspection processes guaranteeing our compliance to international standards such as British BS3084, US ASTMD2061 and German DIN3419.

CONFIDENCE IN TEXTILES

The Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 is a globally uniform testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate and final products at all stages of production. The certification confirms compliance with laws that control or prohibit certain substances and chemicals (please refer to Oeko-Tex® website for list of requirements). The Oeko-Tex® certification process is managed by Oeko-Tex® Association, a group of 15 well-known textile research and test institutes in Europe and Japan, with representative agencies and offices in over 50 countries worldwide.

Fastening products bearing Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification, among others:
  • - Have been tested for the release of heavy metals under artificial perspiration conditions.
  • - Have been tested for pesticides and chlorinated phenols.
  • - Are free from formaldehyde (or contain only trace amounts significantly lower than the required legal limits).

Textile products considered for this standard are broken into four categories based on the intended use. For instance, textile products for babies and toddlers (Product Class I) have to meet the highest requirements. Currently, major products at most production locations are certified Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Product Class I. Please ask your sales representative about the specific products you wish to purchase.

ISO9001:2008

ISO 9001:2008 provides standardized requirements for a best in class quality management system, regardless of what the organization does or its size. The ISO 9001:2008 standard provides a proven framework for managing quality that will lead to producing consistently higher quality products. ISO 9001:2008 sets out the requirements a best in class quality system must meet, without specifying how they should be met for any particular organization.

ISO 9001:2008, as well as other ISO standards, have been developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the world’s largest developer and publisher of international standards. ISO is a network of national standards institutes of 160 countries with a Central Secretariat in Geneva.

ISO 14000:2004

The ISO 14000 family addresses various aspects of environmental management.
ISO 14001:2004 provides the requirements for environmental management systems (EMS).

An EMS that meets the ISO 14001:2004 requirements provides management tools necessary to:
  • identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products or services;
  • continually improve environmental performance;
  • implement a systematic approach to setting environmental objectives and targets, achieving those targets and demonstrating that those targets have been achieved.

Textile products considered for this standard are broken into four categones based on the intended use. For instance, textile products for babies and toddlers (Product Class I) have to meet the highest requirements. Currently, major products at most products locations are certified Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Product Class I. Please ask your sales representative about the specific products you wish to purchase.

bluesign® System

bluesign

bluesign® technologies AG is company located in Switzerland, advocating environmental protection, rational utilization of resources and consumer safety, strictly demanding that all processes from raw material processing, through manufacturing and sales should be run with environmental friendly systems. There are 5 attestation rules for those who want to become a bluesign

bluesign® system partner: productivity, consumer safety, exhaust emission, wastewater discharge and environmental protection.

The partners and members of bluesign

bluesign® must be responsible for consumers’ safety as well as guarantee the entire supply chain sustainability.

The Main Projects In Line With Bluesign

bluesign® Enterprises

  • Resource
    Productivity
Using as few resources as possible during the complete process automatically involves cost efficiency. The environmental impact decreases while the added value of the products increases. Finally, the textile companies reduce their ecological footprint consisting of energy and material input per kilogram of manufactured textile products. In other words: The bluesign system helps optimizing the process efficiency by minimizing both energy and material input.
  • Consumer Safety
During the complete production process, only the components and technologies are applied that have the lowest possible impact on human health and environment. As a result, proactive manufacturers are able to meet the requirements of their customers for sustainable and reliable products – even before legal obligations will force them to act.
  • Air Emission
    The bluesign

bluesign® system specifies the strict selection criteria for substances and components having an emission impact. The aim is to reduce CO2 emissions within the company’s sphere of influence as well as during the subsequent process steps. Exhaust air has to be cleaned and recycled by adequate environmental technology. This is the essential condition in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to make an active contribution to climate protection.

  • Occupational
    Health & Safety
The health and safety of employees in the textile industry have to be safeguarded by strict guidelines. The bluesign system makes training programs for employees concerning the storage and handling of harmful substances obligatory. Occupational health and safety also includes the protection against environmental pollution such as dust and noise.
  • Water Emission
    The bluesign

bluesign® system specifies the requirements regarding water pollution control. An intelligent selection of process components helps to minimize the amount of harmful substances in wastewater. As a consequence, the basic contamination of sewage can be reduced. Manufacturers are requested to install a well-functioning wastewater treatment.
